George Street Public Information Meeting at the Melrose Park Village Hall

You’re invited! The Village of Melrose Park is hosting a public information meeting for the George Street Phase I Study on Thursday, March 13th from 4:00 – 6:00pm at Melrose Park Village Hall, 1000 N. 25th Avenue, Melrose Park IL 60160.
The Village is conducting a Phase I preliminary engineering and environmental study on George Street, from North Avenue to the north limit of Melrose Park at the CN Railway Crossing. This area is home to many businesses and is critical in supporting the needs of the community.
The study’s goals are to determine proposed solutions to best support the corridor while meeting the needs of our local businesses and the requirements of the Illinois Department of Transportation. Potential enhancements could include road resurfacing, lighting and driveway upgrades, drainage improvements, curb replacement, and sidewalk extensions.
Attendees can stop by this open-house style event at any time during the meeting to view the study exhibits and provide feedback on needs and priorities, no formal presentation will be made. Staff from the Village and project consulting firms will be present during the event to answer any questions. Can’t make it? Exhibit boards will be available for viewing after the meeting at Village Hall.
