Fire Hydrant Flushing Underway

The Melrose Park Water Department will be flushing fire hydrants throughout the Village starting the week of June 3, 2024 to ensure fire hydrants are in working order as well as to remove the settled minerals in the water mains to improve the quality of the water. Residents may experience brief water pressure loss and may experience cloudy/discolored water in their home. We encourage you to flush/run your water for 3-5 minutes through the outside water connection or basement/kitchen sink. Please check for any discolored water prior to doing laundry. We apologize for any inconvenience in advance and thank you for your understanding.
